Amirali Raie

Amirali Raie (Amir) is a Chemistry tutor with a strong academic background in science and a particular interest in supporting students preparing for medical and health sciences programmes. He is currently studying Dentistry at Semmelweis University in Budapest.

His academic journey has been closely connected to science from an early stage. He studied at a NODET school and earned two medals in the Biology Olympiad. Before focusing primarily on Chemistry tutoring, he also taught Olympiad-level subjects, an experience that strengthened his approach to scientific reasoning, problem-solving, and concept-based learning.

Areas of Expertise

Amir primarily works with Pre-Med Chemistry students, helping them develop a clear and structured understanding of scientific concepts. His academic background also gives him experience with Olympiad-level science and advanced problem-solving.

Rather than focusing on memorisation alone, he encourages students to understand the reasoning behind scientific concepts and to approach unfamiliar questions with curiosity and analytical thinking.

Teaching Approach

Amir believes that academic success is not simply about studying for as many hours as possible, but about learning how to study effectively. He explains challenging concepts through clear examples and encourages students to actively engage with the material, ask questions, and develop their own problem-solving skills.

His teaching style is friendly, supportive, and interactive. He aims to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and exploring difficult concepts without unnecessary pressure.

He also places importance on maintaining a healthy balance between academic responsibilities and life outside of studying. Drawing from his own experience of managing a demanding Dentistry programme alongside an active social life and personal interests, he encourages students to develop sustainable study habits rather than relying on excessive study hours.

His goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them develop better study habits, confidence, curiosity, and independence that they can carry forward throughout their education.
